What I planned on doing was to provide an interface where you’d simply enter your character name and server. The calculator would then grab your spell damage data from the Armory and use those numbers in the calculations. On one hand, that would be awesome! So easy to calculate your damage numbers. But, then you wouldn’t be able to perform calculations on theoretical numbers, etc… You’d be limited to the gear you were wearing at the time of the last Armory update.

Checkout the mage spell damage calculator the way it is now.

What do you think? Should I leave it as is, let you enter your spell damage numbers directly. Or, have it pull the data from the Armory?

It’s up to you! Comment to this to let me know!

  1. I personally perfer entering in my own numbers. It lets me play around with “What if” ideas. Especially for the lower levels… mage/lock twinks etc. And it is pretty easy to enter in your own spell damage as the site allowes at the moment….

  2. I think this interface would be a terrific idea as long as the option to manually manipulate the downloaded values to perform what-if calculations was still available. Thanks for your hard work…keep it up!

  3. Mareth,

You bring up a great idea! I could have a button that would simply grab your data from the armory… then you could just manually change the numbers whenever you wanted.

    THANKS!
