Yeah, we all do it… the whole first post thing. Anyway…

I just wanted to say hi, and let you know why I started www.spelldamage.com. First, because I love playing World of Warcraft! I started playing WoW about a month after launch, haven’t stopped since. Great game, excellent execution, and look where it got them – huge player base.

Second, I love web programming. I have a background in .Net development, and used it to develop the site 100% from scratch, alone. I’m not owned or operated by any gold farmers. Also, I try hard to ensure that gold selling, power-leveling service, and hacker/exploit ads don’t get shown on my site. If you notice any, let me know.

Last, there wasn’t any real good resources out there for calculating spell damage. Well, there are some that calculate what your spell damage bonuses will be… but my site calculates what your spells actually hit for. You can use the site to theorycraft different builds given different amounts of bonus spell damage.

Well, there you have it. My promise to you is that I’ll keep it up-to-date with future patch changes, and continue adding features as I see fit.
